Little Boy...Now Dead!
I read today that a teenager, Jeff Weise, shot and killed classmates and his grandfather! They blame it on the fact that this child was neo-Nazi! They posted a picture on him and I can say if he came home with one of my little brothers I would have invited him in and made him dinner. Where does a young 16-year-old go SO very wrong? I mean it is just SO sad! Life is scary; I just pray that these school shootings stop before my heart breaks.

It is very sad, and it disturbs me how the news portrays the incident. He was the outcast, the "other", not one of the normal kids so don't worry...
High school is painful for those who can't fit into the norm. With our current system it doesn't suprise me that kids are pushed to such extremes. I think my friend Jess put it best, kids are hurded like cattle. This kid had a hard life from what I've read thus far, but what can you do?
Sorry, I really get pissed when it comes to the current education system:)
Do not apologize believe me. I was one of the outcasts, in many ways I still am, and I am surprised that any one learns to live in High school. Not just from the “outside fears” but also from the crushing state of affairs that lead children to think if A, B, and C does not line up then they are worthless. It is also sad that children think that high school is “real life”. I am so glad it is not. However, I am truly crushed when I attempt to think what happened to create such a sad child…or did I say that already?
Yes it is a wonderful thing that "real life" is better than high school. I tried to help out at a high school at one point. It was complete chaos! The teacher never had control. I certainly didn't either. It didn't help that the first day one of the girls ran up to me and started talking about drinking at my place... the teacher didn't think to much of me after that. Needless to say I left that job quickly.
That was really off topic wasn't it? My point was that there was no control. Too many kids... how can you give them the attention they need?
It is VERY hard to give the attention they need.
